The Service

The three sacred ministers

The sacrament of Holy Matrimony was solomnised at The Cathedral Church of Christ and Blessed Mary the Virgin, Durham on 16th July 2005 at 2pm by special licence of The Lord Archbishop of Canterbury under the Ecclesiastical Licences Act 1533. As such there were no banns called.

Andrew and Jane's wedding was celebrated in the Catholic tradition of the Church of England. The service was Solemn High Nuptial Mass celebrated at the High Altar. The service was celebrated eastward facing with traditional language from Common Worship order 1. The Bride and Groom used the vows from the 1662 Book of Common Prayer.

The servers came from both Coventry and Durham, Jane having been a server at Durham Cathedral and Andrew at Coventry Cathedral.
